We are looking for committed teams and players to join the upcoming spring Flag season. We are an 18+ league that welcomes all skill levels. We aim to provide a healthy physical outlet for that competitive weekend warrior.

PLAYERS MUST BE 18+

ADULT/YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL RULES
 
Roster Maximum 12 players  Minimum 9 player Teams must submit a $150 league entry registration/ bond. Without this fee your team will not be registred or added to schedule.
This bond will serve two functions.
  1. Security deposit, for adding your team to schedule 
  2. Used to pay fines 
  • Players must be 18+
  • Teams need to get their own Jerseys and they must have numbers and be the same
  •  Belts will be provided
  • Free agent league fee $50 per player
  • $600 Team fee
1. MINIMUM LINE PLAYERS: Ineligible Lineman Flag Football (9-Man) =minimum of 5 players on the line at the snap.
(8-man) =minimum of 4 players on the line at the snap
(If the Offense uses a man in motion and he comes from the line of scrimmage, there still must be the minimum of players on the line at the snap.)
2. 2 on 1 blocking is allowed.
3. Falling ball carrier:If a ball carrier falls to the ground or dives to make a catch and hits the ground, he has to be touched (1 hand) to stop the play.
If he is not touched, he can get back up and needs to be deflagged.
On PATs/FGs the holders knee can be up or down on an extra point or field goal.
4. DIVING: Diving to pull a flag is legal. Diving to block or to advance the ball is illegal.
5. If the QB/PASSER's arm is in motion and the ball is still in the QB/PASSER”S hand while being flagged, the QB/Passer is down.
6. SNAPS: All snaps that hit the ground are dead.
Exception: on PATs/FGs only a 1 bounce rule will be allowed. If the ball hits the ground on snaps to the QB or Punter, the ball is called dead where it hits the ground
7. DIRECT SNAPS ARE LEGAL:Linemen are not allowed to accept the snap.
8. All eligible receivers’ must have 2 flags on at all times during game play.
If a player starts a play missing 1 flag or if the flag fall off accidently during play then the 2 hand touch rule is in effect.
If any receiver starts the game without any flags and this receiver catches the ball then the play stands however the receiver cannot advance the ball.
9. ONSIDE KICKS: there are no Onside Kicks!
10. PUNTS: Rushing the punter is allowed. You may not rush between center-guard gap. Only the 2 outside players on the punting team may release at snap, all others must wait till ball is kicked.
Punts that hit the ground may be picked up and advanced. There is no “halo rule". The receiver cannot be touched until the ball is caught by the receiver.
The receiver can signal for a fair catch however if the receiver bobbles the fair catch and the ball is up in the air it is a live ball.
11. FUMBLES: Dead at the spot. Muffs of Kickoff & Punts are dead at spot.
12. CHUCKING/BUMPING A RECEIVER: One (1) chuck/bump off line is permitted from the line of scrimmage to 5 yards.
13. FORWARD PASS: QB's foot must not pass the line of scrimmage. This will result in a loss of down and 15 yard penalty.
14. ROUGHING THE PASSER: An automatic 1st down, plus a 15 yard penalty. Penalty yardage will be tacked on to any gain.
If the defender contact's the passer's arm, whether or not he/she touches the pass, it is roughing the passer.
15. EXTRA POINT & FIELD GOAL ATTEMPTS: There is no rushing between the guard and center. NO 3 or 4 point stances for offensive and defensive.
Kicking teams lineman need to be toe to toe (feet touching). The center cannot block. The holder’s knee can be up or down.
******Offensive team can fake field goal or an extra point. Offensive team DOES NOT have to declare a field goal or an extra point.
Only when the “fake” is initiated is when a defender can rush “A” gap. A defender can be in “A” gap before the snap however the defender cannot rush “A” gap until the fake develops.
All linemen must be toe to toe during field goals and extra points.
16. NO baiting or taunting of opponents either on the field or from the sidelines. PENALTY: 15 yards.
** UP TO THE REF TO ENFORCE
17. A MUFFby the punter on a declared punt is a dead ball. The punter cannot pick it up and kick it.
18. NO spiking or throwing of the ball whether in anger or glee.
PENALTY: 15 yards. NO WARNING! ** UP TO THE REF TO ENFORCE
19. OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE: Loss of down and 10 yard penalty assessed from the line of scrimmage.
20. When the quarterback is attempting to throw the ball and a defensive player hits the ball while in the quarterback’s hands, this is an illegal action.
THE BALL IS an extension of the arm. If the ball hit the ground the play is dead. If the ball is in the air then the ball is live.
This will be classified as Roughing the Passer and the penalty will be assessed.
21. HUDDLEclock is 25 seconds.
22. OBSTRUCTION OF THE RUNNER: The defensive player cannot hold, grasp or stop the forward progress of a runner in their attempt to pull a flag.
This will result in a defensive holding call: 5 yard penalty and automatic 1st down.
Please note it is to the referee discretion if the player is wearing baggy clothing and a defender attempts to grab the flag and grabs clothing it will not be holding.
                                                                                     
23. SAFETY: A Safety, which is worth 2 points, is awarded when and defined as a player being flagged while having possession of the ball behind the offense’s
goal line, in the confines of the endzone. In addition a Safety will be awarded when a team has committed an offensive penalty while their QB or running back has
possession of the ball behind their goal line in the endzone or during a kickoff or punt where the offensive player possessing the football makes a,
1 FORWARD football move (impetus) in an attempt to come out of the endzone and is flagged inside the endzone.
Once the safety occurs, the kick after a safety is a PUNT ONLY. The kick will take place at the 20 yard line. The receiving team lines up on the 40 yard line.
24. WHEN A RECEIVERgoes in the air for a catch near the sidelines, he must have at least one foot in bounds when he hits the ground.
The pile on IS AN EXENTION of the endzone.
25. A PLAYERon the line of scrimmage CANNOT receive the snap.
26. FLAG GUARDING is a 10 yard penalty and a loss of down.
Flag Guarding is done by swiping with the hand, shielding the flag with the hand or ball, dipping of the shoulders,
leaping or jumping forward to avoid being deflagged, etc…
27. BLOCKING down field when the ball is in the air is an offensive pass interference penalty unless it is a screen play.
28. IF A QB is not avoiding a sack, he can take the snap under center and immediately ground the ball by throwing it straight down
to stop the clock under 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
29. PROFANITY during the game will NOT be tolerated.
A) At the coin flip teams will be warned about profanity anywhere on the field and bench area. Bench area is defined as the sideline area
between the 20 yard lines on each side. This includes spectators and team members.
B) First time offenders: Unsportsmanlike penalty.
C) Second time offenders: Ejection
30. PLAYERS IN MOTION: ONLY one man can be in motion at the snap of the ball.
A) If 2 men are in motion before the snap of the ball, only one has to stop and get set for one second. If 2 men are in motion at the time the ball is snapped,
that is a penalty.
B) Shifting is legal at any time. All players who shift still must reset for 1 second.
31. INADVERTENT WHISTLE: At the time of the inadvertent whistle, the team with possession of the ball has the option of replaying the down,
or the result of the play of most forward yardage gained when the whistle was actually blown.
In the case of the QB being in shotgun or dropping back the ball will be placed back on the original line of scrimmage.
                                     
32. EXTRA POINT ATTEMPT:
A) Any roughing of the kicker, holder or center is:
- Automatic 15 yards on kickoff
B) Captain may change his mind on 1 point try from 3 yard line or 2 point try from the 10 yard line if he calls a time out.
33. PADDING RULE ADDITION:
A) Any exposed metal, like knee brace or ankle brace must be covered.
B) Casts are not allowed.
34. FIELD GOALS:
A) Field goals missed inside the 20- placement spot is 20 yard line.
B) Field goals missed outside the 20- placement spot is the scrimmage line.
Any roughing of the kicker, holder, or center is:
- Automatic 15 yard penalty and 1st down
- A missed field goal that is caught in bounds by a defender can be returned for a touchdown
35. OVERTIME RULES: There will be a coin flip then 4 plays from the 20 yard line. If the overtime period goes past 3 overtimes,
there will be another coin flip then the game will conclude with SUDDEN DEATH rules.
Sudden Death Rules- Ball is places on the 10 yard line. After the coin flip, teams have 4 downs to score or stop the score. The team who scores or stop the scores wins.
36. Onside Kick- There are no Onside kicks!
37. SCORING:TD= 6 pts/ FG= 3 pts/ SAFETY= 2 pts
EXTRA POINTS= 1 pt (Run, pass or kick from 5 yard line)
= 2 pt (Run, pass or kick from 10 yard line)
38. INTERCEPTION ON AN EXTRA POINT ATTEMPT OR 2 POINT CONVERSION:
A) May be returned by the defense for 2 points.
B) A blocked extra point attempt that does not hit the ground may be returned by the defense for 2 points.
C) If there is a penalty, after the interception or during the return of a blocked extra point attempt against the Kicking Team/Offense,
and the Intercepting Team/Defense does not score, the penalty will be accessed on the Kick Off.
39. BALL REQUIREMENTS: Adult size footballs (ex: NFL, College etc) Smaller youth footballs ARE NOT allowed.
                                                                         
40. FLAG REQUIREMENTS:Flag-A-Tag Sonic Boom flags are the only flags that are allowed.
41. PUNTING:Defense may rush the punter, if there is no declared punt.
41a. During a punt, lineman can only have a 2 foot split or less. Any more than 2 feet an illegal formation penalty will be accessed.
41b. If a defender is blocked into the punter at any time this will not be a penalty. If a defender intentionally hits the punter,
it will result in a Roughing the Kicker penalty which is a 15 yard penalty and automatic 1st down. This is all to the discretion of the referee.
42. STIFF ARM: Stiff arming is allowed. In Chest box area ONLY! The Chest Box Area is defined as the entire chest area and the
area from the elbow up to the shoulder.
42a. Illegal Stiff Arm- If at any time a receiver stiff arms a defender to the face or neck while the defender is running to deflag him
this will result in a 15 yd Illegal stiff arm penalty. If the defender is diving to deflag a receiver and the receiver stiff arms the defender
in the face or neck this is not a penalty. If a receiver goes to stiff arm a defender that is diving for the flag and the receiver hand/arm swats the defender’s hand away this will be considered a flag guarding penalty.
43. “LAST MAN RULE at the officials judgment, inside the opposing team’s 20 yard line and a ball carrier gets tackled or tripped it is an automatic
1st and goal at the 1 yard line.
44. BREAKING THE HUDDLE- All players in play must be on the field and break the “huddle”. There is no hidden man play allowed.
45. PASS INTERFERENCE
A) IF the infraction occurs when the ball IS in air = SPOT FOUL & automatic 1st down.
B) IF the infraction occurs when the ball IS NOT in the air = Illegal Contact & automatic 1st down.
C) IF the infraction occurs in the END ZONE (ball in the air), ball is placed on the 1 yard line & automatic 1st down.
D) OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE = 10 yard penalty & loss of down.
46. BALL PLACEMENT- At the end of a play, the furthest spot of the ball is where the ball is located when the flag is pulled.
That is where the ball will be placed. It’s the location of the ball and NOT the flags in every situation.
47. Multiple Penalties-If offsetting fouls occur during a down the down will be repeated.
If the down is a change of possession the team with possession will maintain the possession.
Dead Ball Fouls- These fouls are enforced separately and in order of occurrence.
48. Intentional/Excessive deflagging- This refers to deflagging a receiver before the receiver can get off the line of scrimmage
or intentionally grabbing the receiver’s flag while the receiver is in his route progression without possessing the ball.
This will be a 5 yard penalty and result in a 1st down.
49. Holding- Holding is defined as an illegal use of the hands or body to grab, hook or pull an opponent.
Holding will not be called if a receiver is wearing loose clothing or an untucked shirt and a defender grabs the article of clothing.
All receiver’s jerseys should be tucked in.
OVERVIEW:
·         In 9man- 9 players per side, less than 8 would result in a forfeit. You may start with 8 players.
·         In 8man- 8 players per side, less than 7 would result in a forfeit. You may start the game with 7 players.
·         Regulation Field 120 yards X 53 yards. 1st downs by crossing the 20-40-40-20.
·         Team area- all coaches and players must be between the 20 yard lines.
·         All captains/team members must control their sideline at all times. This includes spectators on your sideline.
·         Roster limits- 9 man = 22, 8 man = 30
MERCY RULE:
At the 2 minute warning of the 2nd half, if one team is leading another team by 18 points or more the game is declared over by rule of mercy.
If a team is ahead by 30 points at any point in the game then the game will end.
 
 
 
 
 
 
CLOCK
·         The game will consist of TWO 22 minute Halves.
·         The clock is a running clock throughout the game except for the final 2 minutes of the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter.
·         At that point NFL time keeping takes place.
 
 
Clock Stoppage:
1.      Incomplete passes,
2.       Out of bounds,
3.      Scoring,
4.      Change of possessions,
5.      Time outs ** one per half
 
**** The clock DOES NOT stop on bad snaps.
ü The head ref of each game will stop the clock for an official timeout and issue a 2 minute warning to both teams.
ü Play clock is 25 seconds.
ü Each team will have 2 timeouts to utilize per half. Duration of timeouts is 30 seconds long.
ü Halftime is 3 minutes.
ü Under 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th quarters, the clock will only stop on the following.
1.      Incomplete pass
2.      Out of Bounds
3.      Interception
4.      Penalty
Clock will start at the placement of the ball at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters.
EQUIPMENT & UNIFORMS
·         No metal cleats.
·         Sports glasses or goggles are allowed.
·         No hoop earrings or facial piercing visible during play. Players can either take out piercing or cover them with athletic tape and/or band aids.
·         Flags can’t be the same color as player’s pants/shorts. The ref will ask the player to change color of their flags.
·         No caps/hats with extended bill.
·         No modifying of the football in any way. Stick um, Pine tar, gator grip and other foreign substances are not allowed on the football.
·         Jerseys/shirts must be tucked in at all times.
·         Extended piece of the flag belt must be tucked in or.
·         Loose clothing WILL NOT be a cause for a holding penalty.
·         All players on the same team must have the same color jersey on.
KICKOFFS
·         All Kickoffs must be from a tee or held. Kickoffs are from  the 40 yard line unless there is a penalty.
·         Teams will have an option for kickoffs to start the game & 2nd half. (Intent to Kick out of Bounds There will also be punt to the receiving team in the event of a safety.                
·         Safety kicks will be kicked from the 20 yard line.
·         During a safety kick the Kick Off return team will line up on the opposing 40 yd line.
·         Receiving team must have 4 players on their own 40 yard line.
·         Any kickoff that travels out of bounds the receiving team has to take the ball at the 35yd line.
·         Intent to kick out of bounds

All receiving teams have the option of declaring the intent to kick out of bounds at the coin flip and prior to start of 2nd half.
This will result in the ball being placed on the receiving team’s 35 yard line. If the kicking team declares the intent,
the ball will be automatically placed on the 35 yard line without a kick off taking place. Game clock and play clock will begin at the referee's whistle.
ROSTER CHALLENGE
- After Week 1 all team rosters are all locked. It is the team’s responsibility to add all players to the rosters.
If any team has a player that is not on a roster and an opposing team player’s notice this, a Roster Challenge can be initiated.
This means that the Captain will call a time out and notify an official at any time before the end of regulation or overtime,
and ask for a ROSTER CHALLENGE and ID the player in question.
Captains challenging a roster MUST specify if he is a new player to the team or know the team that the player previously played on.
At that time a league representative will have the team’s official roster. All rosters will be at the field of play.
If the player ID’d is not on the roster or on another team roster it is an AUTOMATIC FORFEIT (No questions asked!!).
If the player does not have any ID on him, the game will end in a forfeit!!! NEFFA Staff are not going to chase players/teams.
All players/teams must know this rule is and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED!! If the player ID’d IS on the roster then the challenging team
will lose a timeout during the game and be penalized for delay of game.
- *********EXCEPTION to this rule: If at any time a team folds and players from the team that folded still want to play on other teams,
these players must notify the CroARTStaff ASAP so arrangements can be made to the specific rosters.
This is the ONLY way people can added to rosters past Week 1.
- DISPUTING REFEREE’S CALL- If any coach/captain wants to dispute any call he must call a TIMEOUT.
This is the only way a previous play will be discussed. At that time the ref will explain what he saw and play will resume.
If it is a legit dispute and the ref changes the call, the timeout will not be charged.
Keep in mind that the person disputing the call has the full timeout time of 30 seconds to discuss the disputed call.
If the dispute goes past the timeout, the play clock will run.
At this time one must decide to call another timeout or the disputing team will be penalized with a delay of game.
If there is any arguing after the fact the ref will and can access a 15 yd penalty for Excessive Arguing.
Forfeiting games
            If a team forfeits a game on game day without the consent of a league official the team will pay a $50 fine for forfeiting.
The team will not be allowed to play until that fee is paid. If a team forfeits 2 times during a season they will be fined $50, taken off the schedule with no refund of the league fee.
 
Refund: There are not refunds for…
·         Injuries
·         Dissatisfaction of the league
·         Ejections and or dismissal from CroART Flag Football
·         Scheduling conflict
Once you’ve played a single game your fee is non refundable period no exception.
 
Summary of Penalties
1. Penalty Notification
Rule 1. When a foul occurs during a live ball play, the Referee at the end of the down will notify the offended team’s captain of his options.
If the penalty is declined the game will resume as normal without any penalties enforced.
Rule 2. A captain‘s choice cannot be reversed once the Referee is informed of their decision and the Referee acknowledge that decision.
2. Multiple Fouls / Penalties
Rule 1. Penalties for dead ball fouls are administered separately and in order of occurrence.
Rule 2. All unsportsmanlike fouls are penalized separately, an in addition to those occurring during a down by the same team.
Rule 3. When the same team commits two or more live ball fouls, only one penalty may be chosen except when a foul(s)
for unsportsmanlike conduct or personal fouls are administered separately with ejections and /or game time suspension.
Rule 4. The offended captain may choose which penalty will be administered or he may decline all penalties except for
consecutive encroachment/offside penalties against the defense.
Rule 5. When both teams commit live ball fouls during the same live ball period and (a) there is no change of team possession,
or (b) there was a change of team possession and the team in possession at the end of the down had fouled prior to final change of possession,
it is a double foul. In (a) or (b) the penalties offset and the down is replayed.
Rule 6. If both teams foul during a play where there is a change of possession, the team last gaining possession may retain the ball provided they
did not commit a penalty prior to the final change of possession and the team currently with possession declined the pre possession penalty.
3. Spot Fouls / Penalties
Rule 1. Spot fouls are administered with the designated penalty yardage and maybe be coupled with a loss of down.
a.) Defensive Pass Interference- If interference occurs in the defenders end zone, the ball will be placed on the 1 yard line.
b.) Illegal block
c.) Holding at or beyond the line of scrimmage
d.) Flag Guarding
e.) Impeding the runner
f.) Illegal forward pass or pitch beyond the established line of scrimmage
g.) Crack back blocks away from the play is unfolding
h.) Charging/Bulling
i.) Intentional grounding within 10 yards behind the established line of scrimmage.
j.) Intentional grounding beyond 10 yards the established line of scrimmage.
k.) Aiding the runner
4. Loss of Down Fouls / Penalties
Rule 1. A loss of down may be couple with a foul / penalty that may result in a change of possession for the offending team if the foul/penalty
was committed on 4th down and the opposing team accepts the penalty.
a.) Intentional grounding. It is a ten (10) yard penalty from the spot of the foul unless the quarterback is more than ten yards back of the
established line of scrimmage in which case it is placed at the spot with no yardage walked off.
b.) Flag Guarding
c.) Charging/Bulling
d.) Illegal forward pass
e.) Illegal forward lateral
f.) Offensive pass interference
5. Fighting
1. If anyone throws a punch at a player, coach or a ref before a game starts and during any part of a game or after a game while on the property
of where the games are being played, then the player or person(s) are automatically suspended INDEFINITELY.
2. At any point in a game which a team’s decided to "clear the bench" to run to the opposing teams sideline, THAT TEAM WILL BE FINED $250.
The team WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY THE FOLLOWING WEEK UNTIL THE FINE IS PAID.
If the team does this for a second time the team is SUSPENDED from CroART FLAG FOOTBALL for the REST OF THE SEASON WITH NO REFUND.
3. At any point in the game where a foul or rough ending to a play occurs on a particular sideline and players, coaches and/or fans decides from that
sideline decide to physically interject themselves in the matter, the person or persons who interjecting themselves will be SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY from CroART FLAG FOOTBALL.
Physically interjecting themselves is defined as punching, trying to take down, trying to injure the other player. This also applies to a player that is on the opposing team’s sideline
that attempts and succeeds to physically harm anyone who is on the opposing team’s sideline.
Penalty Yards/Foul Description
5 YARDS
Excessive/Intentional deflagging- Deflagging a receiver while he is advancing from the line of scrimmage or while a receiver is in route progression.
1 Min Kick – Off Violation (Delay, plus time-out) Not kicking off the ball with in 1 minute of a successful extra point attempt or score.
Too many men in the Huddle- Breaking the offensive huddle with more than 8 or 9 players.
Aiding the Runner- Grasping, lifting, and pushing in order to assist the runner by a teammate.
Defensive Holding- (Automatic First Down) Holding an eligible receiver.
Delay of Game- Offense not snapping the ball before the play clock expires.
Encroachment- Someone from the defense in the neutral zone and touching an offensive player.
Excessive Time Outs- A team / player calling a time out that is out of time outs.
Illegal Defensive Formation- Less than 5 players on the receiving team‘s line during a declared punt.
Illegal Equipment- Not having the proper/legal equipment on during a play.
Illegal Formation- Less than 5 players on the line of scrimmage at the time of snap
Illegal Forward Pass- (Loss of Down) A player can not throw the ball forward once they are beyond the line of scrimmage.
Illegal Kick Formation- Kicking team having a player(s) beyond 10 yards of the restraining line for a running start.
Illegal Motion- More than 1 player in motion paralleled to the line of scrimmage at the snap.
Illegal Offensive Rush- QB not taking a half step back or lateral while under the center for a direct snap.
Illegal Return Formation- Return team not having enough players (5) on the restraining line.
Illegal Rush- Rushing the restricted gap(s) on extra points, punts and field goals.
Illegal Participation- (Prior to snap) Too many players on the field of play
Illegal Procedure / False Start- An offensive player feigning or moving forward during or before the ball is snapped.
Ineligible Player Downfield- Lineman down field more than 2 yards prior to a ball thrown beyond the line of scrimmage.
Illegal Shift - A player shifting his position and not getting set for at least a half of a second
before the ball is snapped.
Illegal Substitution- Player entering the field of play while the ball is live (ready for play) or leaving the field through the opposing teams side line or the end zone.
Offside’s- A player in the neutral zone at the snap of the ball or kicking team off sides
Running into Kicker- Incidental minimum contact with the kicker during a legal kick.
Penalty Yards/ Foul Description
10 YARDS
Charging/Bulling- (Loss of Down)) Intentional not avoiding a defender who has established position.
Consecutive Encroachment/Offside’s- Defender committing consecutive neutral zone infractions.
Flag Guarding- (Loss of Down) Using body part past the waist and around the flags to prevent de-flagging.
Holding- (Offensive and Defensive) Illegal use of hands or body to grab, hook or pull an opponent.
Illegal Block- Blocking above the waist and in the rear of the opponent.
Illegal Contact- (Automatic First Down) Making contact with a receiver beyond the chuck zone and before the ball is thrown.
Impeding the runner- Delaying the ball carrier with no attempt to de-flag the ball carrier.
Intentional Grounding- (Loss of Down) Purposely throwing the ball away to avoid a sack.
Offensive Pass Interference- (Loss of Down) Illegal actions with the receiver gaining an advantage in order to catch a pass.
Stripping- A defender attempting to knock the ball out of the hand of a ball carrier or receiver who has clear possession of the ball.
Penalty Yards/ Foul Description
15 YARDS
Clipping/Cutblock- Blocking an opponent in the back or below the waist.
Illegal Stiff Arm- stiff arming a defender in an area outside the Chest Box as defined by rule #42
Delay of Game- to start the Game or Half not legally lined up ready for play after the play clock has expired to start a down.
Elbow or Upward flipper block- Extending forearm upward or leading with the elbow from the body to block.
Excessive Delay of Game- Delays causing a decisive disadvantage to the opponent or poor conduct.
Fair Catch Interference- Interfering with the receiver who has clearly signaled for a fair catch.
Illegal Crack Back Block- (Away from the Play) A flagrant illegal act in which a player blind sides blocks an opponent who is no threat to the play.
Illegal contact with an official- intentional physical contact with Referee (automatic suspension)
Illegal Participation –During a down having too many players on the field involved in a live play. This includes players on sideline impeding path of Referee.
Illegal use of the hands – to restricted area unintentional hands to an opponent’s restricted area(s)
Personal Foul- A flagrant illegal act that results in contact to a restricted area of a player.
Personal Foul-Defensive (Automatic First Down) A flagrant illegal act that results in contact to a restricted area of a player.
Personal Foul-Dead Ball (Automatic First Down)A flagrant illegal act after the play is blown dead.
Roughing the Center- (Automatic First Down)Illegal contact with the Center.
Roughing the Holder- (Automatic First Down) Illegal contact with the Holder.
Roughing the Kicker- (Automatic First Down)Illegal contact with the Kicker
Roughing the Passer- (Automatic First Down) Illegal contact with the Quarterback or player behind the Line of scrimmage passing the ball.
Tackling- Pulling, throwing, or driving a ball carrier or receiver to the ground with no attempt to deflag.
Tripping- Using legs or arms to make illegal contact with the opponent’s legs.
Unnecessary Roughness- A flagrant, illegal and excessive act to an opponent.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct- A foul that taunts or acts in an unsportsmanlike manner which delay or undermine the integrity of the game.
TWO UNSPORTSMANLIKE PENALTIES for one player is an automatic ejection from the game.
Simulating the Snap- Defensive player making sounds that sound like the offensive cadence.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct/Excessive Arguing- when players are in the face of referee’s, going back and forth on a call which is already been made.
The Ref can explain any call as a courtesyhowever once that takes place, the game MUST resume.
If players continue to argue with the ref then this penalty can be assessed. This is to the discretion of the Referee.
If a same player/coach is penalized more than once then that person will be ejected.
20 yard Rule- All players, coaches and fans need to be within the 20 to 20 yard line team box. It is to the ref’s discretion to warn and penalize players

CROART FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The 1st String Performance and CROART have merged to form this premier Adult Flag Football League. 
8 week season every Saturday and Sunday 12-3pm in Newton and starting this spring in Southborough,South Boston and Falmouth. This 18+ league aim's to become the premier Adult Flag League in New England. We welcome all skill levels. The Leagues core values are promoting camaraderie while providing a healthy physical outlet for that competitive weekend warrior.
