Introduction to Lacrosse for Kids

WeeLax Program for children new to Lacrosse. Each session, kids will have a safe and fun place to learn and play. Parents are asked but not required to participate during the sessions. WeeLax is an introduction to the world of Lacrosse for children. The program combines a Lacrosse curriculum featuring fundamental ball skills, footwork and calisthenics. Our aim is to create a passion for the sport of lacrosse that a child will have for the rest of their life. Sessions will also focus on gross motor skills and sport terminology. All equipment will be provided by CroART Lacrosse.
Sessions: Six stations featuring activities that focus on developing the skills involved in the sport of Lacrosse. Participants also learn about team-building through fitness-inspired activities. Participants will move, stretch and build an active lifestyle together by learning fitness and sports fundamentals based on but not specific to the sport of Lacrosse.  Kids learn how to cradle, hop, skip, sprint and backpedal.  They learn how to compete with increased self-confidence and a sense of always being included.  The program intends on helping your child improve coordination, promote a genuine sense of accomplishment, build confidence and self-esteem as they enjoy and learn the sport of Lacrosse.
